TWO UNIQUE TYPES OF ANALYSIS
|
You've finished the script. -- Now what? Feeling confused and overwhelmed? Where do you go from here? Soemone advises you to write a LOGLINE, but you have no idea how.
A logline is a one to two sentence description of your story.
*NOTE* If your story can't be condensed down to a sentence or two, then it needs further work. If your basic story doesn't work, it may be too early to write a logline.
I will try to convey your story in one sentence. I will draw out the high points, add drama and irony where necesary and the hooks that you need to interest a producer or agent in reading the script. If the interest isn't already present in the story, you may have to rework the logline or the script to make sure they match.
There is one string here: You need to send me the synopsis of your story so I can fashion a logline from it. OR You can send me all your attempts at writing a logline.
E-mail me the synopsis or your logline so far.
Please cut and paste it in the body of the e-mail.
Please put "LOGLINE" in the subject of the e-mail.
I will e-mail you back a workable logline, or at least a jumping off point so you can write your own.
