TWO UNIQUE TYPES OF ANALYSIS
|
If you're looking for just an overview of your script, COVERAGE is a good choice.
If you're looking for in-depth comments and suggestions on how things could be changed, this is not the right choice for you.
Producers, agents and others use Readers to process the mountains of scripts they receive. Coverage is what that Reader provides to their boss when they are asked to read a script. They also provide a PASS, CONSIDER, or RECOMMEND rating.
So COVERAGE is a synopsis and an overview of the script's quality. It allows producers, etc. to decide if the script merits the valuable time for them to read it themselves.
Readers are looking for ways to speed through their work. Anything that stops the momentum should be addressed before the script can be declared "as good as it can be".
My Coverage is meant as a tool to give you an idea of what a Reader might say about your script before you actually send it to a producer.
Please note, I do not provide a PASS, CONSIDER, RECOMMEND rating, since there are are too many variables involved.
